As a practicing massage therapist since 2010, Mary has a range of qualifications and experience in bodywork and healing therapies, which can be combined for a holistic fusion or taken as a separate treatment. Mary has qualifications in Deep Tissue Massage, Reiki Level 1 & 2, and Indian Head Massage.

Deep Tissue Massage

Whether you’re recovering from an injury or illness, deep tissue massage likely has great benefits to offer you. Massages have been utilised for thousands of years throughout the world to lower both physical and psychological stress. And today, research continues to show that whether used alone or in conjunction with other treatments, massage therapy is an effective way to help treat common conditions like arthritis, anxiety and chronic lower back pain.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is an ancient therapeutic treatment that has been practiced in India for thousands of years. Part of the Hindu health care practice of Ayurveda, Indian head massage focuses on your head, neck and shoulders that aims to rebalance your energies. It is a deep massage, using a variety of pressure and techniques, including circular massage strokes on your scalp, deep tissue work on your shoulders, and stretching the neck.

Over the last 12 months, my wife and I have had 5-6 massages between us with Mary - all in the comfort of our own home!
She always takes time to understand how you are feeling and what you need from the session.
Mary is very personable and easy to chat to during a massage - equally if you in the mood for relaxation, you are welcome to nod off instead.
She brings along a high quality massage table, oils, music etc so even though you are in your own home, it still feels the same as being in a spa/salon.
Mary gives high quality massages which leave you feeling relaxed - and also gives great general tips on your general wellbeing.
