NEW! 6 Week Course - YOGA for Cyclists

So excited to share that I’ll be offering a no-fuss class specifically targeted for cyclists to stretch and release overused, tight areas such as hips, hamstrings IT band, shoulders and back. Also will include a couple of different breathing techniques to increase lung capacity, helping you breathe more effectively which can help improve performance. Great for mind and body!

Other benefits include;

  • Softening and releasing overused quads, IT band and hips.

  • Improved core strength. As having a strong core enables cyclists to maintain proper spinal alignment and posture – especially on long rides when fatigue starts to set in.

  • Learning to maintain proper bike posture requires adequate flexibility in your lower back, hips, glutes, and hamstrings.

  • Yoga can train your body to take slower and deeper breaths to maximize your oxygen intake, also learn how to monitor your breathing, making the most of each breath.

  • Quicker recovery time from injuries and learning how to reduce injuries through proper body awareness

  • Increased performance on your rides.

6 Week Investment Cost; £80 or £15 Dropin

Monthly Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is an invitation to come as you are, lie down and allow your body to fully let go into a deep state of relaxation as my voice takes you on a guided meditation / exploration around your physical body.

Session starts with roughly 15 min of Yin Yoga then 45 min Nidra, where you set yourself up with pillows, blankets, lavender eye pillows and bolsters; The idea is that once your body is absolutely comfortable, it can also remain absolutely still and centre.

Nidra translates as Yogic Sleep, or sleep that is yoga, though in fact it's not a sleep but an awakening. It induces complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation.  Swami Rama describes it this way; ' Yoga Nidra is a state of conscious sleep in which one can record what is going on. There is a fine distinction between Yoga Nidra and Samadhi. In Yoga Nidra one can record those experiences which he cannot receive in the conscious state. When one cannot register something properly in the waking state, they can go into Yoga Nidra to register it..'

If you've never tried a Nidra class, you'd be pleasantly surprised at how it helps you feel deeply rejuvenated, as well as with a calm and clear state of mind!

Full Moon Women's Circle
Jul

Full Moon Women's Circle

Really pleased to share that I will finally be starting a new monthly women’s circle- held either on Full moon night or the Sunday closest to the Full moon!

What?

Women’s circles— are safe, sacred spaces for us to tune out of daily life and demands, reconnect to our divine feminine, to our wisdom, strength and passion. The practice is informally infused with elements of my training in yoga, meditation, movement, ancient Egyptian heritage, chakra knowledge, and moon magic. Each circle is a gift and each woman joining is adding her flavour to the larger circle of sisterhood and solidarity, which is often lacking in today’s world.

We sit in a circle, start with a check in; a chance to share who you are, how you’re truly feeling and have a few minutes each to speak about anything you desire. There is true power in just being heard, really listened to. No advice is offered and no interruptions for each speaker. No obligation to speak either for shy or first timers..

At the end of the session, we will have a light meal, so please do bring anything homemade or that you wish to share to add to the mood of nourishment and connection. After all food is life.

Why? To heal, connect and provide support for one another. Safe spaces for women to let go, share and connect without the male gaze, without the need to be in business or professional persona mode. To completely and utterly allow oneself to just be.

Intimate gatherings where women discuss goals, concerns, stories, and advice—have been around since ancient times. Across history there have been many societies including Ancient Egyptians, native Americans to the Ulithi of the South Pacific, to the Beng of Africa’s Ivory Coast, where Women’s circles and Red tents were the norm.

In the temples of India, Egypt, Greece, Rome, Sumeria, and ancient Europe, women were taught to develop their powers of perception, intuition, and how to refine the powerful energy of emotion. They learned how to awaken nurture and enhance their feminine gifts. Today, women are reclaiming their spiritual power and innate wisdom, creating community and taking up leadership once more.

When? Full moon night or the closest to Sunday to the full moon.

We will cover varying topics and themes including Self Love, Forgiveness, Family, Friendships, Transitions, Health & Wellness, Moon Circles, and more.

Intention setting will be a major part of the Women’s Circles, which doesn’t need to be voiced however highly useful for each participant to have an Intention they wish to connect to and manifest from and through that space.

There is no obligation to share or speak unless one wants to, but no interruptions or unsolicited advice to any other ladies who choose to speak.

Any questions, please do get in touch!

YIN YANG YOGA + KERALAN CHRISTMAS MEAL

Back by popular demand!

Will be holding a 90 min Yin Yang Yoga Class followed by a 4 course Vegetarian Keralan Supper, which is sure to do the job of getting you out of your head and well and truly into your body..

Yin Yang Yoga aims to cultivate a balanced holistic practice. ‘Yin’ postures are long held and seated, targeting the connective tissue, joints and ligaments.  This side of the practice helps with joint mobility & is also deeply meditative, engaging with the meridian lines & releasing ‘stuck’ energy.  The ‘Yang’ postures & practice are more dynamic and engage the muscles, developing strength & flexibility.  Yin Yang Yoga encourages engaging with  foundation and alignment through standing postures & flowing movement.

Chef Vizzy Sagar who's originally from Kerala, a self taught culinary artist, big on the London Markets food scene, specialises in authentic, mouth watering dishes from his homeland.  He really is second to none with quality, freshness and taste of course… Plus there’s the added bonus of his wicked sense of humour!

Not to be missed!

Will be holding a Yin Yang Yoga Class followed by a 4 course Vegetarian Keralan Supper, which is sure to do the job of getting you out of your head and well and truly into your body!

Evening will start with a 75 min deep and nourishing practice of Yin Yang yoga;  a strong, dynamic  and fluid  sequence aimed at warming the body, then yin to balance, where the poses are explored and held for up to three minutes. The aim being to provide release and relief on a much deeper level as it stretches deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. This then increase circulation in the joints while also helping to regulate the body's flow of energy.

Chef Vizzy Sagar who's originally from Kerala, a self taught culinary artist, big on the London Markets food scene, specialises in authentic, mouth watering dishes from his homeland.  He really is second to none with quality, freshness and taste of course..
